The r/Pinterest subreddit is also flooded with posts from confused users who claim their accounts have been suspended without proof of violating the platform's rules. In addition, several people are reporting that they are seeing an unusually high number of pins being removed from Pinterest for illogical reasons, such as sewing magazines, cross-stitch projects, and Minecraft bed builds being flagged as "adult content."

"They suspended my Pinterest account without explaining why, I don't upload content and the only things I save are related to makeup, hair, fashion, beauty and similar topics - definitely nothing that warrants suspension!" one user said on Reddit.

Pinterest allows users to appeal account suspensions, but according to reports, it sends out notifications stating that it cannot give a specific timeline for reviewing appeals as “ our team is experiencing a higher volume of requests than usual .” Some users have speculated that an AI- based moderation algorithm is behind the increase in suspensions and Pin deletions , but Pinterest has not commented on these speculations so far.
