In case you missed it, the upcoming Paper Mario for Switch runs great in both handheld and docked mode. As for the frame rate, it appears to be 30fps – so it may take some time to adjust if you played the original version on GameCube.

“The game runs perfectly in both formats, at least for the first 15 or so hours. We haven't noticed any frame drops in either docked or handheld mode. However, one notable drop from the GameCube version is that the Switch version only runs at 30fps, compared to the GameCube's 60fps. At first, this took us a while to adjust to, especially in combat where you have to time your button presses – our instincts somewhat recall the timing of the original version – but overall the reduced framerate wasn't detrimental to our experience. This is still Thousand-Year Door in all its glory – at least from what we've played.”
