Microsoft doesn't want to bring a version of Redfall, an Arkane Studios game where you shoot vampires, to the Playstation 5 console after acquiring Bethesda.
Based on the Redfall game designer, Harvey Smith, in a conversation with IGN France, said that Microsoft's stance during the game's development was "no Playstation 5" after he took over the company.

"We were acquired by Microsoft and it was a change with a capital A," he told the site during a recent press release. "They came in and said, 'No Playstation 5,' we're going to focus on Xbox, PC, and Game Pass."
Smith described how the result of this commitment to Xbox and PC was a good decision, noting that it helps support Game Pass and that with fewer consoles there will be less complexity.
Suggestion: Xbox: 3 future Bethesda games will be console exclusives
While IGN France reports that Redfall for PlayStation 5 was canceled "immediately" after Microsoft acquired it, there's no indication that a version for Sony's platform was more than a suggestion at the time. Eurogamer has reached out to Bethesda for comment on IGN's report and to clarify how far off a PS5 version might be.
The news comes as Microsoft is investing significant resources in its bid to convince regulators in the UK, EU and US to approve its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard . Call of Duty continues to be a sticking point for the deal, with regulators raising concerns about the impact on the industry if Microsoft ultimately makes the multi-billion dollar franchise exclusive to Xbox – something Microsoft recently said it has “no incentive or ability” to do.
Redfall is set to release for PC and Xbox Series X/S on May 2nd.
