Let's start with PWAs, which Microsoft wants to make more familiar on Windows. Some of the features it will give them with the new improvements to Microsoft Edge are enabling new APIs that allow PWAs to handle protocols on Windows by default, so they can open certain types of folders and URLs, and support Windows sharing.

Microsoft is also working on making app management easier with new apps Hub in Edge and supporting synchronization of installed apps on the device.

The company never forgets its developers, which is why it creates WebView2, which is supported by Microsoft Edge and available in applications WinUI 2/UWP

This way, developers can switch to Chromium that guarantee much better performance than the old Internet Explorer web view. Also, Microsoft says it will take a few more months for this to happen. Available today is NET MAUI with Web View , enhancing the web experiences of these applications.

Microsoft has also begun working with a company called PWABuilder, which specializes in helping developers create PWAs.

In Microsoft Edge, other changes have been made to the development tools, including clearer icons for each tool and a new Tooltips overlay to make it easier to see what each panel does.

The new user interface is now available through a program called DevTools. Some of these features, like the new Apps Hub, are already available at leasttoEdge Insiders but will soon be available to everyone.
