Microsoft had said it would officially announce the next version of Windows on June 24. So it was only a matter of time before the leaks started. Yesterday, the first one took place, which allowed us to get a taste of the new operating system, Windows 11 .

Microsoft has made a lot of changes, but Windows 11 is actually based on Windows 10X, a version that will never be released. Regardless, users will have no trouble getting used to the new operating system.
The different editions of Windows 11 are the same as those of Windows 10, including Home, Pro, Enterprise, and more.
The first change you might notice is a new Windows logo. This change may be due to a general effort by the company to make its products look more Microsoft-branded instead of Windows-branded.

Another change, part of the redesign, is the rounded corners of the menu and various icons.
But let's look at more details. TheStartis different from that of Windows 10. The taskbar is now in the center, which is quite reminiscent of what we saw for Windows 10X.

Additionally, Windows Search looks quite different in the new operating system. Leaked images show that users will be able to filter results by apps, documents, settings, and more.

As for File Explorer, the icons look different compared to Windows 10, but they have already appeared in preview.
Microsoft Edge doesn't show any changes. In fact, anything related to apps isn't particularly different in Windows 11, as they aren't directly tied to the operating system.

Also, Settings doesn't seem to have changed, despite previous leaks. However, it's possible that Microsoft will make some updates to this area. The same goes for other inbox apps.
For now, the basic Settings look the same, but the company has added a few new ones. For example, there are a lot of customization options for the taskbar, including the option to align it.

Virtual desktops in Windows 11 are in the same place, but there's a new stock wallpaper.
An icon called Widgets. This is exactly the same as macOS and is supposed to replace Live Tiles. Live Tiles were something like a widget and a shortcut at the same time. Now, these things are separated like in other operating systems. Widgets appear differently in light and dark modes.

At first glance, the keyboard in Windows 11 looks the same, but there's a bar above it that you can open to insert GIFs, emoji, and more.
Additionally, you'll be able to unpin things like Task View and Windows Search from the taskbar, meaning you won't have to hide them anymore.
Another new feature is the ability to set different split options directly from the maximize button in any app. You can choose split view or display three or four apps on the screen at once.
This information has been leaked for now. Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 11, will be released later this year, but we'll learn more in a week from the company's official presentation.
