iOS 14 was released in the fall, but Apple decided to delay the implementation of these userto give developers more time to make the necessary changes.

According to new information, these changes are said to be officially coming in the spring, with a version of the new feature coming in the next beta version of iOS 14.

Apple describes the new system as follows: “In Settings, users will be able to see which apps have requested tracking permission and make changes as needed. This feature will roll out broadly in early spring with an upcoming release of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14, and has already garnered support from privacy advocates around the world.”

What you need to know about Apple's new App Tracking Transparency feature:

With the new App Tracking Transparency feature, every app will have to ask users up front if they want to share their with other companies, including networks or data brokers.

Users will be able to see in a notification will track app and for what purpose , and it will ask if users are okay with this.

Additionally, you can check and change the permission given to each app at any time. If you completely disable the “Allow apps to ask for tracking permission” setting, no app will be able to ask you for tracking permission.

Apple will enforce the App Tracking Transparency feature for all third-party data sources, including data sharing agreements , but of course platforms can still use first-party data for advertising according to their terms of service.

Apple believes that developers understand whether the APIs or SDKs they use in their apps allow user data to be transferred to third parties and expects them to enable the notification for tracking permission.

Apple apps will also comply with the new rules if they actually use user data, although most apps do not track users.

Apple is also enhancing the capabilities of its Ad attribution API.

The news comes on Privacy Day , with Apple CEO Tim Cook speaking on the subject at the Computers, Privacy and Data Protection conference in Brussels.

Apple's privacy changes are seen as a good move to protect users, but there is a backlash from the advertising industry. Facebook says this will have negative consequences for many small businesses , as well as for the platform itself. Apple, however, said it is taking an approach that is focused on user privacy, not advertising.
