If you use an Android phone or tablet , you know that your default Google account plays an important role as it decides how you sign in to many apps , especially Google apps. If you're interested, there's an option to change your default Google account on Android.

Generally, adding Google accounts to an device is easy, but setting one of them as the default involves a little bit of a process. The default account is the account you signed in with the first time you set up your device.
Let's say you're signed in to two Google accounts on your Android device. First, you'll need to sign out of the current default account.
- To get started, go to Settings, scroll down, and find the settings for “Google.”
- Your default Google account will appear at the top of the screen. Tap the arrow (located below your name) to display a list of all your accounts.
- Then, tap “Manage accounts on this device.”
- You'll see a list of all the accounts you're signed in to on your Android device. Find your default account and select it.
- Click “Remove account”.
- Tap “Remove Account” on the confirmation.
Warning! Removing your account will delete all messages, contacts, and other related data on your Android phone or tablet. Some data is backed up to your account, so you'll be able to access it when you log in again.
When you confirm, the account will be removed from your list and device. Tap the arrow in the top left corner to return to Google.
Open your account list again and tap “Add another account.”
After you verify that it's you (with your fingerprint or password), a Google sign-in page will appear. Follow the on-screen steps and enter credentials for the account you want to add.
It may take a few minutes. Once the process is complete, you will have a new default Google account on your Android smartphone or tablet!
