How to find Accessibility Controls in the menu bar on Mac

Apple includes accessibility features on its devices that help users with vision or physical and mobility impairments. Certain settings, such as “Reduce Transparency,” can help these users. Here’s how to quickly access Accessibility Controls from the menu bar or Control Center on Mac .

Accessibility Controls

If you're using macOS Big Sur or later, you can access these features directly from the menu bar or using Control Center. The Accessibility Shortcuts menu brings many features , such as grayscale mode, to the forefront so you don't have to go to System Preferences every time you want to turn a feature on or off.

Accessibility Shortcuts is an additional section that you can add to the end of Control Center and can be added directly to the menu bar.

Once added, you will have access to features such as “Voice Over”, “Zoom”, “Invert Colors”, “Color Filters”, “Increase Contrast”, “Reduce Transparency”, “Sticky Keys”, “Slow Keys” ” Mouse Keys “, “Accessibility Keyboard” and ” Head Pointer “.

To do this, click on the “Apple” icon from the “Menu Bar” and then select “System Preferences”.

Here, click on the “Dock & Menu Bar” button.

From the sidebar, scroll down and select “Accessibility Shortcuts.” Then, click the “Show in Control Center” and “Show in Menu Bar” options.

To access “Accessibility Shortcuts” from Control Center, click the Control Center icon from the top-right corner of your Mac screen.

Now, click on the new “Accessibility Shortcuts” icon from the bottom.

The menu will expand and you will see all the Accessibility Controls.

You can also drag and drop the “Accessibility Shortcuts” icon from Control Center to the Menu Bar.
