The Tor Project has released Tor Browser 10.0 to align with the latest version of Firefox ESR, Mozilla's enterprise version of the browser.
Mozilla Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) is an enterprise version of Firefox designed for stability and security in large organizations. As the ESR build is focused on an enterprise environment, it is not updated as frequently to ensure stability, but it does receive all the latest security updates, so businesses are protected.

Since Tor Browser uses a customized version of Firefox ESR, when a new ESR version is released, the Tor Project releases a new version.
With Firefox 78.3esr released yesterday, September 22, 2020, Tor Browser 10.0 was released to align with this version.
No new features have been added to the Tor browser through this release and it is essentially a bug fix.
The individual errors are:
- Bug 33855: Don't use the website icon as a window icon in Windows in private mode
- Bug 40061: Omit Windows default browser agent from version
OS X
- Bug 32252: Tor browser does not display correctly in VMWare Fusion on macOS (mojave)
You can download Tor browser 10.0 from the Tor Browser download page and from the “distribution directory”.
