How to set up automatic response to “Do Not Disturb” on iPhones

If you have Do Not Disturb enabled on your iPhone and someone sends you a message, they may receive an “Automated Message” in response. Here’s how to configure this message and choose who receives it.

To start the process, go to “Settings” by tapping the gray icon. It is usually located on the first page of your home screen .

In “Settings”, tap the “Do Not Disturb” feature.

In the Do Not Disturb settings, scroll down until you see the auto-reply options. Tap “Auto-reply.”

On the next screen on your iPhone, tap the text input area and type any message you want. Depending on settings , this message will be automatically sent to people who message you while Do Not Disturb is on.

When you are finished writing the message, press “Back”.

If you want to change who receives the auto-reply message, tap “Auto-reply to” in the Do Not Disturb options.

You'll see a list of options, such as “Nobody” (this turns off Auto Reply), “Recent” (people who have recently sent messages), “Favorites” (people in your contact list that you've marked as favorites), or “All contacts” (Everyone in your contact list). Tap the option you want to set it. When you're done, tap “Back” and then exit Settings. Now you can enjoy your peace and quiet without anyone bothering you!
