The pandemic has affected all aspects of our daily lives, especially our work. Many large companies are making efforts to help as much as they can, either by donating essential goods or by offering significant amounts of money. As we mentioned in a previous article, Apple Tim Cook posted a video on Twitter, where he says that his company has brought together product designers, engineers and business teams to design face shields for healthcare workers.
In the video, Tim Cook says that his company is designing face shields for people on the front lines of healthcare to reduce their chances of contracting the virus.
These are simple face shields, made of plastic, that cover the wearer's entire face. However, in order to use them, one must make a few modifications.
Apple has released a guide with the steps to follow for assembling and adjusting the face shields. The entire assembly process takes just 2 minutes and includes easy steps, such as aligning the notches on the protective face shield and adjusting the head strap to the correct size.

In the video, Tim Cook said that Apple plans to release 1 million face shields by the end of this week and an additional 1 million next week. Meanwhile, Apple is not the only company helping the US fight the coronavirus. Tesla is also producing ventilators at its Tesla Gigafactory in New York to help with the new health crisis.
