Windows 10 users are warned about the risks facing Microsoft

Windows 10 Home customers have been warned by security experts about some of the risks facing Microsoft. Windows 10 Home is the most popular operating system worldwide, having surpassed its strong rival, Windows 7. In December 2018, Windows 10 Home surpassed Windows 7 Home to become the most popular operating system, according to statistics from NetMarketShare. At the end of the last 12 months, Windows 10 Home held 39.22% of the OS market compared to 36.90% for Windows 7 Home. Since then, Windows 10 has significantly increased its market share, reaching 48.86% compared to 31.83% for Windows 7 Home.

And now let's get to our topic, Windows 10 users are on the lookout for two dangers discovered by experts.

Microsoft is the most common target of hackers, especially for phishing. According to a study by Vade Safe, Microsoft is actually the most prevalent model in phishing attacks for the second quarter of 2019.

A report by online security firm Vade Safe stated that they detected over 20,000 URLs for phishing scams targeting Microsoft in the second quarter of 2019 alone.

They determined: “During the quarter, AI detected a whopping 20,217 phishing URLs, with the average per day reaching 222 URLs!

Vade Safe highlighted that the obvious reason for this high number is Microsoft Office 365. They stated: “To understand Microsoft’s dominance of phishing scams, consider the size and progress of Workplace 365.

“In its latest quarterly earnings, Microsoft reported that more than $180 million of its monthly revenue comes from Workplace 365. “Additionally, IDC estimates that Workplace 365 accounts for nearly half (47.6%) of cloud email applications worldwide. “The bigger Workplace 365 gets, the more exciting it is for hackers to break into it.”

Also regarding Windows 10, users seem to be facing a problem since they installed the latest version of Windows 10. Last month, Microsoft released the KB4505903 version for Windows 10 Home, which unfortunately creates a problem with Bluetooth. Specifically, users using this version have reported that the Bluetooth audio system is having trouble connecting to their computer or is emitting poor quality sound.

Microsoft has released the solution to the above problem, which you can find here.
