Several new offerings were unveiled at HP Reinvent. Among them is a security service as well as the launch of consumer and commercial PCs.
Security service
Endpoints are a key attack vector. Many companies have been attacked via endpoints resulting in a data breach.
That's why HP is introducing a security service that enforces policies, monitors, and addresses threats.
HP DaaS Proactive Security Service goes beyond antivirus and offers extra protection. The service extends protection and security and transforms endpoints from your biggest risk to your biggest defense. The service protects against malware in real time through HP TechPulse.
The service also features security self-assessment tools and online security tools (incident response services and cyber security services from Aon). HP is partnering with Aon to offer comprehensive security solutions to commercial organizations and better meet customer needs.
HP DaaS Proactive Security Service will be available starting in April 2019. It will start in the Americas but will soon be available in more than 50 countries.
Computers for employees
The company is also interested in small and medium-sized businesses. It has even expanded its AMD commercial portfolio with the addition of the HP ProBook 445R G6, ProBook 455R G6 and the ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini, which it has designed for the small and medium-sized business workforce.
The HP ProBook 445R G6 and ProBook 455R G6, powered by second-generation AMD Ryzen processors, are ideal for professionals. They feature a sleek design with an ultra-thin aluminum frame and undergo 19 MIL-STD tests for durability. The device can be “opened” 180 degrees, so it can be placed completely flat, which helps in many situations. In addition, HP Noise Cancellation reduces ambient noise by up to 20dB, providing an amazing audio experience. Both notebooks will be available from June.
The HP ProDesk 405 G4 Desktop Mini is ideal for small and medium-sized business workers. It offers amazing performance and security. And it features a sleek design and a second-generation AMD Ryzen PRO processor with integrated Radeon Vega graphics. It can also support up to three displays. The laptop will be available from April with a starting price of $499.
Face-to-face communication between employees and colleagues is essential. So, nowadays, communication methods such as Skype and Zoom are ideal solutions. The company is proposing new communication solutions, such as HP Zoom Room. HP Zoom Rooms solutions provide easy, customizable and flexible meeting room options that are secure and manageable for small, medium and large organizations. HP Zoom Rooms Solutions are expected to be available from July. Their price is not yet known.
