WhatsApp Web connection from your browser

WhatsApp Web is a quick and easy way to get WhatsApp mobile messages on your computer. It has most of the features of the mobile app.

Below we will see how you can use WhatsApp Web on your computer.

WhatsApp Web
In general, it is a simple process as long as you have the following:

An Android phone or iPhone.
A laptop or desktop computer with any modern browser, such as Firefox or Google Chrome.
An internet connection for both your phone and your computer.
And of course the latest version of WhatsApp.

Download WhatsApp for: Android | iOS

How WhatsApp Web works

WhatsApp Web doesn't have all the features of the mobile app. In fact, it can't work without the mobile app. So you'll need to connect your phone to use the Web service.

WhatsApp Web is essentially a clone or mirror of what's on your phone. Once you receive a message on your phone, you'll see it on WhatsApp Web. If your phone doesn't have an active connection or is turned off, then you won't see the message on WhatsApp Web either.

Set up WhatsApp Web service

Open your browser on your computer and visit https://web.whatsapp.com.
In the WhatsApp mobile app, tapMenu or Settings and select WhatsApp Web to launch the QR code reader.
Point your phone's rear camera at the QR code you see on your computer screen.

Once WhatsApp reads the QR, it will connect your phone to the computer.

That was it.

What you can't do with WhatsApp Web

You can't make WhatsApp Broadcasts.
You can't make or receive WhatsApp Voice or Video calls.
You can't post WhatsApp Status updates.
You can't share maps or your current location.
You can't change media download settings, so all photos and videos sent to you will be downloaded automatically.
You can't use two browsers at the same time.
Limited settings for notifications and chat wallpapers.
