Microsoft has released a new theme for Windows 10, but like in the past, it comes in a collection of high-resolution themes for your desktop.
The theme is called “The Grand Canyon National Park”, includes 16 desktop backgrounds and can be used on any version of Windows 10, from the Fall Creators Update onwards.
Microsoft releases themes for Windows 10 regularly, but they're basically just wallpapers. At the same time, the company is working on upgrading the visual style of the operating system to give it a more modern look, although this is only available in the latest versions of Windows 10.
The Windows 10 April 2019 Update, also known as version 1903 and 19H1, comes with a new light mode that completely improves the appearance of the operating system. It also includes new icons and a refreshed look for the Start menu, which provides more options for users in addition to the dark mode, which is already available in Windows 10.
How to set the theme
You can download “The Grand Canyon National Park” from the Microsoft Store and then enable it from Settings > Personalization > Themes. Just make sure you create a backup of your existing theme before switching to the new one.
Once you have activated the theme on your device, you can switch to the next or previous background simply by right-clicking on the desktop background.
