TOP 10 Torrent sites: ExtraTorrent, as we all remember, was once the second largest torrent site in the world, until one day in 2017 it shut down without any explanation for all of us who had bet our movie nights on it. After this “disaster” some moved to new sites using the ExtraTorrent name, while others, being more cautious, do not trust them.
Because we understand the inconvenience you are going through, we recommend the TOP 10 Torrent sites that are alternatives to ExtraTorrent, but caution is required when accessing them and we always recommend using a VPN.
Why use a VPN to access ExtraTorrent alternatives?
While torrenting and other P2P file sharing activities are not illegal in most countries, they are a bait for hackers looking to steal your data and carry a high risk of transferring files with malware to your device. Also, keep in mind that because it can be used for illegal activities, torrenting is restricted in many countries and banned outright in others.
A VPN provides a secure, encrypted channel for your data to travel through. No one can monitor what you are doing or use the connection to add their own data to yours.
Most importantly, a VPN changes your IP address, allowing you to appear as if you are in a different location – such as a region where there is no restriction, such as Switzerland, Spain, or Poland.
