The internet has been abuzz with reports lately that AMD is ready to launch. The chipset will be designed to support the upcoming 7nm Zen 2 Ryzen 3000 series CPUs and will also be the first motherboard to support PCIE 4.0.
This information comes via a slide, published online by Gamer.com.tw. As Videocardz pointed out, however, it appears that the slide is several months old, as it also mentions the B450 chipset and AMD's Athlon 200GE series.
Even more interestingly, the slide suggests that AMD plans to launch the motherboard at Computex 2019 next year. That means we have to wait a little over half a year.
Then again, it's been several months since the slide that mentions this was published, and it's very likely that AMD has already made some changes to the chipset at the micro if not manufacturing level. That said, the company recently launched the Radeon Instinct MI60 GPU and 7nm EPYC CPUs last month. Both can support the new PCIe 4.0 standard.
Until then, of course, we suggest that you don't be completely sure that these will happen. At least until their supposed announcement at Computex 2019.
