If a drone hasn't been on your Christmas list yet , November is a good month to make your purchase! DJI has just announced a global event in New York for November 28, 2018, and it concerns the launch of a new product, the DJI Phantom 5 .
When will it be available?
The event will have a travel theme and its title is “Because life is big!”. However, little information has been given about the new drone. Certainly given the date of the event, it is estimated that it will be available on the market around Christmas. Besides, let's not forget that the previous model, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro, was released on the same day as its launch. So we believe that a similar process will be repeated with the new drone. In addition, we know little about the price of the new model, but we assume that it will cost around $ 1589, like the last model in the series, the DJI Phantom 4 Pro.
What new features can we expect?
As mentioned above, there are no official announcements about the details of the model, however, according to rumors, it will be possible for the user to change lenses with focal lengths of 15mm to 50mm, which gives the option of a wide-angle lens. It is also quite possible that it will retain the one-inch sensor of the previous model and add an interchangeable lens system. Regarding its design, there will be minor changes, such as different coloring on the device, while the landing system will be retractable.
