iPhone passcode bypass lets hackers share your pictures

hackersHackers trying to bypass iPhone is nothing new and it happens all the time. In response, Apple continues to improve its software to keep attackers at bay.

Now another hack has been discovered. This iOS passcode hack allows hackers to view and share private images stored on an iPhone, without having to get into the phone.

Jose Rodriguez, a tech enthusiast who has a hobby of hacking iPhones, has successfully bypassed iPhone security on multiple occasions. He has published iPhone hacks and techniques on multiple occasions. In several cases, Apple was only able to find fixes for them after learning about the hacks.

And now he was able to bypass the iPhone's security and view/share images.

In a video he posted, the iOS vulnerability can be seen as part of the device's accessibility features. He used the iPhone's VoiceOver feature and the digital assistant Siri to access his photo gallery, open photos, and send them to another device of his choosing.

On October 8, Apple released iOS 12.0.1, which fixed the last two bugs discovered by Rodriguez. While the first was the VoiceOver iOS Accessibility feature, another was the Quick Look feature that gave hackers access to documents.

If your iPhone or iPad hasn't updated yet, you can check for updates using iTunes on your desktop.
