GPU-Z: New way to check if your card is authentic

TechPowerUp, the company that created the GPU-Z program, has released a new version of the program with a very useful feature. Now, through GPU-Z, anyone can see if their graphics card is real or fake.

The timing of the new feature's release is no coincidence. Until recently, there was a severe shortage of graphics cards, which drove up their prices dramatically, sometimes two or even three times above the suggested retail price. The reason for this surge in demand for graphics cards was due to mining, where miners bought as many high-end graphics cards as they could.

Since there was a high demand for high-end cards, the cheaper ones were left on the shelves, and many decided to take advantage of this. By buying cheaper models and flashing them, they would greatly increase the prices and then resell them. So, since many models look the same, buyers could not understand that they were buying a much inferior card for the price of a high-end card.

Now, however, with the use of GPU-Z, it will be possible for each buyer to understand whether their card is flash-free or not. We cannot know how big the problem was so far, but with the release of the new generation of Nvidia, we believe that many users of the 10xx series will upgrade to 20xx, so they may try to "convert" it to a higher one.

Unfortunately, GPU-Z can only be used after the card has been installed in the buyer's system, so it may be too late. The GPU-Z feature was added in version 2.12.0, but a newer version with additional bug fixes.
