While there are many launchers on the Google Play Store that provide you with the Google Pixel experience on your Android phone, Rootless Pixel Launcher stands out as it is based on Android's open source Pixel Launcher3.
After a long wait, developer Amir Zaidi has launched a new version of the launcher called “Rootless Launcher.” Many launchers like Lean launcher and Lawnchair already use the app as a base with additional features.
While the Rootless launcher doesn't have all the features of the Google Pixel, it does a brilliant job of providing the feel of Android Pie. Like in that it includes the same home screen layout, with the Google search widget at the bottom and the same upward swipe to access apps. Additionally, the launcher has Android Pie app suggestions.
The only additional step you have to take is to install the “Rootless Pixel Bridge” to get the full functionality of the app. The download option is even available in the app itself.
There are some Pixel features that are missing, like Android Pie app slices.
Apart from that though, the launcher is great if you want to have a Pixel-like experience on your Android smartphone .
The Google Pixel is a revolutionary product that has significantly impacted the smartphone industry. It was first introduced in 2016 and since then, it has become one of the most popular smartphones on the market.
