How to suspend sent emails in Gmail for Android?

GmailThe unsend feature of the desktop version of Gmail has certainly saved us from embarrassing situations a few times. Now, the feature has been enabled for the official Gmail mobile app on the Android.

According to Android Police, the “unsend” feature will appear in the official app starting with version 8.7. If you haven’t updated your app, download the latest version from the Google Play Store. If the feature is still not visible to you, you can try deleting the app and reinstalling it.

How to use the unsend feature in the Android Gmail app?

  • Write an email message and enter the recipient's address to send it.
  • Click on the send option.
  • At the bottom of the screen, you will see a 'Cancel' option next to 'Sending'. You can click on this option to cancel sending the email.
  • If you have already sent the message but want to cancel sending, then you need to click on the 'Undo' option at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on this will take you back to the message composition page. The unsend button will be available for 10 seconds after the email is sent. After this time, there is no way to recall the email.

The undo feature in the Android Gmail app is a great feature for undoing emails that have been sent by mistake.
