Samsung is reportedly making a new Windows 10 tablet

Samsung is one of the companies that has committed to the Windows 10 ecosystem, and after launching a Surface Book 2-in-1 device, it may plan to introduce a successor this summer.

A device referred to as the Samsung Galaxy Book Windows tablet has recently received Russian certification, and the official listing indicates that multiple variants are coming. LetsGoDigital has come across the model numbers SM-W737, SM-W738, SM-W737A, SM-W737N, SM-W737N, and SM-W738N, which are likely to be versions of the same device that will launch in different regions.

Details are not available at this time, and we doubt Samsung will release this model in early August when it launches the new generation Galaxy Note.

But on the other hand, there's a good chance the company wants to launch the Windows 10 device on the market before schools open, in order to take advantage of the growing sales in this sector.

The Samsung Galaxy Book was never a super-successful product, but it allowed the South Korean company to use it as part of its push for the 2-in-1 device that is the leader in PC at the moment.

It was available in two different versions, with 10.6- and 12.0-inch screen sizes, and offered support for the Galaxy S Pen, which at this point is one of the more advanced alternatives to Microsoft's Surface Pen sold with Surface models.

The device also features high-end hardware like Intel Core i5 processors and 8GB of RAM, and it will be interesting to see whether this new tablet is built with the same approach or not. There is a possibility that Samsung wants to bring a more affordable model to the market in an attempt to expand into a more affordable price range, but we will know more later in the year when the launch is expected to take place.
