In recent days, there has been a stir among -almost- all Windows users who have received the Windows 10 April 2018 Update. The cause? The bug found in the new update which leads to BSOD. Applications like Google Chrome freeze the screen and lead to system crashes.

The number of users reporting this problem is rapidly increasing. "Everything freezes. No keys work, not even 'ctrl+alt+delete'. The only thing we can do is restart the device," says one of the hundreds of comments online.

Microsoft iscommitted to releasing the appropriate fix as soon as possible. It is estimated that we will have the solution on May 8th.

In the meantime, it advises its users to be very careful with the work they do on their systems and to make sure to save each of their documents immediately so that they are not lost after an unexpected crash.

What can you do until a solution is found?
First, arm yourself with patience. Secondly, the company suggests some ways that will temporarily relieve you of the annoying bug. Try holding down the volume up and volume down keys simultaneously three times within two minutes. You can also - if you have a laptop - close the computer lid and reopen it to automatically refresh the screen. Another alternative is to type the following command: windows key+ ctrl+shift+B.

It's understandable that you're annoyed by the bug in Windows 10 April 2018 Update , but we want to hope that Microsoft will release the required fix soon.
