As part of the 8th Infocom Security Conference, which will take place on April 18 and 19, at the Dais Conference Center, the EthiHak competition will be organized for the 3rd consecutive year.
So, after the success of the two previous Ethihak Contests, the Secnews.gr team is once again collaborating with the Infocom Security organization, organizing the 3rd EthiHak Contest 2018.
A very important development this year is the fact that the EthiHak 2018 competition will essentially function as a qualifying competition for the establishment of this year's national team within the framework of ECSC 2018.The National Cybersecurity Team that will represent our country at ECSC 2018 will consist of 10 young men and women between 14-25 years of age who will stand out with their performance in the EthiHak 2018 competition which will take place on April 18-19, 2018, at the Dais exhibition center within the framework of the 8th Infocom Security conference.
The responsibility for the Greek participation in the competition lies once again with the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus. Led by the Department's Associate Professor, Mr. Christos Xenakis, a specialized team of volunteers involved in the field of cybersecurity will prepare the Greek participation for the pan-European ECSC 2018 competition, aiming for a high distinction.
EthiHak was born with the aim of all security enthusiasts practicing to the fullest in applying attack tools against real targets and not against fabricated scenarios!
For the 3rd year, Ethical Hackers, IT professionals and non-IT professionals, security researchers and even simple fans, to compete in the Ethihak Contest, testing their skills in information system security against live, real targets, detecting weaknesses in systems and infrastructures.
For another year, Ethikak Grand Sponsor will be ODYSSEY, which is also offering the grand prize of 1,000 euros .
Also, HackTheBox (HTB) with a link will provide the platform for the CTF as well as the hosting and greunion is responsible for the challenges. The competition is also supported by Devolo, Netsquare, Netizen and WizzIT.
