Microsoft has started rolling out a new Outlook.com beta today. It's a web-only beta that's enabled via the "try the beta" command in Outlook.com, and should be available to all users in the coming weeks.

This is the third redesign of Outlook.com since 2012. Microsoft says that the new Outlook.com will bring improved conversation view, and the ability to read and attach files much faster.
The new search interface is now at the top of your inbox, rather than on the side. The new Outlook.com experience will preview files and photos in your conversation list, making it more immediate to preview a specific email with attachments. Microsoft has also made it easier to find people in your inbox by marking people as favorites.
Outlook.com beta includes popular GIFs and emojis that can be inserted into emails along with a search interface for searching for them.
Microsoft plans to add the new features over the coming months, including updates to Outlook.com calendar. You can sign up for the beta via the link, and there's also a toggle that lets you revert to the regular version of Outlook.com if you don't like it. Microsoft is asking for your feedback on all the features.
