Each of us knows that Apple will present the new iPhones in September, but as with every new product from the company, Cupertino had not mentioned anything until today.
However, the company's CEO, Tim Cook, in a vague hint after the company's earnings presentation report, said that a new iPhone is indeed in the works, without providing specific details.
While iPhone sales reportedly declined in the last quarter, Cook said the company expects revenue to increase to $52 billion next quarter, predicting a "very exciting Fall.".
Although no further details have been given, the increase in iPhone sales combined with the very exciting Fall that Cook mentioned, means that the company is likely preparing to release a new device.
The current quarter ends on September 30th, and there's a very good chance that Apple is aiming for an early September unveiling of a new iPhone, with sales starting a little later, so they can boost revenue before the quarter ends.
And even though Tim Cook confirms that a new iPhone is coming, there seems to be something that still remains a mystery. Rumors suggest that the company could delay the iPhone 8 in order to release two new models, the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus.
Both devices are expected to feature subtle improvements compared to the iPhone 8, which will come with an OLED display, and perhaps facial recognition cameras.
The iPhone 8, on the other hand, could indeed be unveiled in September alongside the other two models, and hit the market in October or even November due to the manufacturing chain issues that Apple is struggling to address.
If that happens, then Apple is probably doing well and expects even higher sales for the next quarter, especially since the iPhone 8 is expected to offer a significant upgrade to existing owners of the device.
