Microsoft Paint: This morning we reported that with the release of Windows 10 Fall Creators, Microsoft will stop supporting the Paint application within its operating system and will replace it with a new application called “Paint 3D”.
The old Microsoft Paint app, as we reported this morning, will be moving to the Windows Store, but no one knows if it will stay there forever.
Many users of the application are not happy with this change because the old mspaint.exe loaded faster, and was easier to use on systems with a mouse and keyboard. If you want the old Paint application back in Windows 10, in this article, we will see how you can install it.
Today, July 25, 2017, the latest version of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is version 16241 and it still has the files required to run the classic Paint, although it is already “promoting” the new application. So the old Paint will be removed from the operating system very soon. Once that happens, follow the steps below.

Run the installer. Follow the steps. When finished, you will find the shortcut of the old Paint application in the Start menu.
The Paint application will be fully functional. In addition to the shortcut, you will also be able to launch it with “mspaint.exe” from the RUN dialog box or from the taskbar search box or from Cortana. It will use the same language as your operating system.
If you decide to use the Paint 3D application, simply uninstall Microsoft Paint from Settings – Uninstall a program.
