WhatsApp recently received an update for iPhone and iPad , bringing filters to images, videos, and GIFs. WhatsApp also received a new feature that allows the app to automatically group photos into an album.
Essentially, WhatsApp for iOS now brings new features and improvements to its users. The app now has more filters for images, videos and Gif such as, for example, pop, black and white, cool, chrome and film.
Additionally, the app has also received a new feature for automatic sorting of images and videos into albums. Files shared in chats will appear in tiles, making it easier to view them even on smartphones with smaller screens.
The improvements don't stop here as the app also brings Reply Shortcuts that allow users to respond to a specific message with a single click.
Although these specific functions are already available to iOS users, it is not yet clear whether Android users will also receive them.
In other news, WhatsApp recently added encryption to iCloud backups allowing users to securely store their messages on iCloud, thereby increasing security against attacks from hackers. Additionally, users can pin up to three conversations to the top. This tool greatly facilitates users who have many saved conversations to quickly access the chats they use most.
WhatsApp is also working on a new feature that will allow users to unsend messages, images, videos, GIFs and documents. The function will allow even replies to be canceled provided the process is done within the first 5 minutes.
