Moto Z smartphone Motorola and its modular accessories are quite popular in the market as they allow users to attach all the Moto Mods while enhancing the capabilities of the device. After the great success, the company is preparing another accessory to add to the collection.
A Facebook photo from Motorola Malaysia reveals the new Moto Mod, dubbed the RAZR. The company said that this time it is a new, much improved Moto Mod. The RAZR was released in early 2004 and quickly became one of the most beloved devices on the market. In comparison, in the US it was the most commercially successful smartphone on the market until 2008.
Motorola managed to sell 150 million Moto RAZR units worldwide, leading to the release of a second generation of the beloved device in 2007. A few years later, in 2012, the company attempted to bring back the RAZR with a different design (DROID RAZR series 2011-2012).
The announcement of the upcoming modular device caught the attention of many and its release will surely convince even the most difficult consumers who will eventually turn to the Moto Z modular smartphones.
In addition to the RAZR Moto Mod, Motorola is also working on a Mod that will have Amazon's virtual assistant, Alexa, built in. Essentially, when the Mod is connected to a Moto Z smartphone, users will be able to give Alexa commands and receive suggestions on various topics.
In other news, Indiegogo is aiming to create a Moto Mod that will enable wireless charging even on IR blaster-equipped Moto Z smartphones.
