Towards the end of last year, a video was leaked showing the features of the upcoming Moto X (2017) smartphone, which later turned out to be the Moto G5 Plus, which was officially unveiled during MWC in February.
Motorola is still working on the new Moto X smartphone, according to recent leaked images. The four images reveal a curved, metal body along with a dual-camera setup on the back. The primary camera design is similar to that of the Moto G5 with an LED flash at the bottom. The Moto X logo is also found on the back, while the fingerprint sensor is on the front panel.
The 2017 Moto X is powered by a mid-range Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 625, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The upcoming smartphone will have a 5.5-inch display, while the pixel resolution is still unknown at this point. It seems that its specifications are similar to Motorola 's Moto Z Play .
Specifically, they feature the same Snapdragon platform, RAM capacity, screen size, and storage capacity. The Moto X (2017)'s main camera is sure to be quite attractive, although there's not much information about the sensors yet. Another major difference between the two phones is the modular functionality of the Moto Z Play, which doesn't seem to be present on the new model.
It should be noted that since Motorola announced the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus just last month, we shouldn't expect the new 2017 Moto X in the near future.
