In exactly twenty days, LG will announce the G6, its new flagship. As we have mentioned in the past, beyond the design change, there are many new features in the new smartphone that will catch our attention.
It is rumored that LG intends to remove the modular design from this smartphone, especially after the failure of the “Friends” accessory, which recorded such low sales that it affected the company's financial results in several quarters of last year.
The giant decided to name the new display 'Full Vision' to mark the change in the flagship's design. It should be noted that in the teaser released, LG had mentioned the arrival of a large screen and a smaller body with the design elements appearing as a "full vision".
The “Full Vision” display will be less sloppy, thus reducing the screen-to-body ratio. This trend began a few years ago when manufacturers introduced products with increasingly wider screens, almost eliminating the side bezels.
The G6 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with an aspect ratio of (18:9) 2:1 and a screen resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels. The display is also rumored to be 1mm thick, which suggests that the phone will be quite thin, perhaps even thinner than the G5 at 7.7mm thick.
While the sleek display is a big draw for the company's flagship, LG is betting on much more than that. The G6 will feature Google Assistant AI and run on Android 7.0 Nougat. It will have waterproof capabilities, IP67 or IP68 certification, and a dual-camera setup on the back.
