LG has already scheduled a press conference for February 26th to announce its upcoming flagship G6, during Mobile World Congress 2017, the biggest tech event of the year. There have been a lot of leaks about the new phones, and the latest one shows some interesting design details about the LG G6.
A report from Android Pure suggests that the LG G6 will be the first phone to feature a metal back, confirming previous leaked images that revealed metal on the back of the upcoming flagship. Despite the latest images, however, nothing is certain until the smartphone is actually announced.
Assuming the images are accurate, the upcoming LG G6 will not have any physical buttons on the front, and the dual rear camera setup will feature a flash module. LG has decided to place the fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone, just below the two camera sensors. The LG G6 branding is also found on the back of the phone, near the bottom of the back cover.
The power and volume buttons appear to be placed on the left side, while the right side houses the SIM card slot. Antenna lines and the 3.5mm headphone jack are visible on the top of the device, while the USB Type-C port is visible on the bottom, and the case has a cover to protect this opening.
The G6 is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. It will also run Android 7.0 Nougat and there is talk of Google Assistant integration.
