Google has announced the first major update to Google Voice in five years. Yes, it's been that long!
Google finally added two features to the new Google Voice that haven't been there for a long time: support for MMS sending for sending picture messages and group chats.
The update was confirmed to be almost ready for release by Google itself a few weeks ago when it accidentally posted a banner asking current Google Voice users to try the new version. Of course, no one could download the new version…
In addition to adding the "new" features, Google has reportedly redesigned Google Voice for Android and iOS, as well as the project's website.
The update is already rolling out for Android users, while everyone else is expected to have access in the coming weeks.
