Today, the Viber app released a new update that lets you share short video messages with your friends list. The update can work with third-party services like Giphy and Wikipedia, and comes with redesigned emoticons.
Let's start with the most important change. Now, with a single tap you'll be able to record a 30-second video that you can share with your friends.
The new feature is built into the chat window, and can be used by swiping the voice message button. But before you do, there are a couple of things you should consider.
Videos are limited to thirty seconds, cropped into a circular shape, and unlike Snapchat, there is no expiration date.
Viber with the new updated version is reportedly working with third-party services. Initially, these services are limited to: Giphy, Wikipedia, and TheMovieDB, and it seems that more will probably come.
The new version of Viber also supports new stickers. To access them, simply type '@' with the name of the service you're trying to access, like "@stickers.".
