Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has already proven itself to be a pretty effective malware removal tool. The company behind the popular tool has announced version 3, which appears to be not just anti-malware but a full-featured anti-virus with real-time protection and more.
Version 3.0 is designed as a solution that can “replace your traditional antivirus,” the company says. So the new application includes all the features that were previously available separately: Anti-Malware, Anti-Exploit, Anti-Ransomware, Website Protection, and Remediation.
Additionally, the development team seems to have focused on the application's performance, as they report that version 3.0 is capable of scanning the computer four times faster than before.
Malwarebytes 3.0 continues to support all versions of Windows still in use, including Windows XP, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. This is followed by Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10, but the Anti-Ransomware feature is only available on Windows 7 and above.
What is also very important to mention is that Malwarebytes software still works very well with other security products, so you can install it as an extra layer of security on your computer.
Anyone who has a purchased version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will still have their license for the new version.
Those interested in the free version should be aware that they will not receive the entire application, but the Anti-malware/Anti-spyware and Anti-rootkit software.
