Kaspersky Lab has announced the release of its second Corporate Social Responsibility Report. The report outlines the company’s technology, education and charitable initiatives that help empower communities and make our world a better place.
The report is presented in the form of stories with the aim of highlighting in a simple and understandable way the importance of Kaspersky Lab's corporate social responsibility work.
The “technology” section is dedicated to the evolution of digital crime. It discusses the latest technologies developed by Kaspersky Lab to prevent digital crime, helping to make the world a better place. It also presents the company’s view on the digital security threats the world will face by 2020, as Internet of Things innovations accelerate.
It is worth noting that the report also focuses on Kaspersky Lab's educational initiatives, such as the Kaspersky Academy Talent Lab and Kaspersky Cyberheroes, a tournament aimed at students.
Another very important point of the report is dedicated to Kaspersky Lab's support to the Athens Archaeological Society for Akrotiri. The project aims to preserve the ruins of an ancient settlement discovered by archaeologists in the mid-20th century.
Together with European Schoolnet (EUN) the company has also launched several important initiatives for children's online safety, parent education and the development of effective security solutions.
The “philanthropy” section shares stories that can inspire various social and volunteer programs that Kaspersky Lab employees participate in. These programs include activities such as teaching children at the Udomlya Orphanage in Russia, providing advice on online safety for children at school, donating blood, and even protecting the environment.
At the same time, an analysis is made of Kaspersky Lab's support for non-profit institutions, such as BRAC: the company provides the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business solution to protect this organization's networks and its financial services.
“We are convinced that people who really care can do a lot and change a lot to make the world a better place. That is why, instead of sharing a lot of numbers, our report includes a variety of moving stories that have caught our attention. We have collected them with the aim of inspiring more people,” said Eugene Kaspersky, President and CEO of Kaspersky Lab.
