Zerodium is a company that buys zero-day exploits and then resells them to government agencies around the world. Last year, the company ran a contest and paid $1 million for the first three iOS 9 0days.
With the recent release of iOS 10, Zerodium has upped the ante by saying it will pay $1.5 million for a zero-day exploit that allows a third party to remotely take full control of the device.
Just like last year, the company will only pay for exploits that work on the latest patched version of iOS.
Here we should mention that Apple is offering up to $200,000 for iOS 0Days through an invite-only bug bounty program…
You can imagine where the first researcher who discovers a 0day on iOS will turn…
Zerodium, which collects exploits from every platform, has doubled the price for any vulnerabilities in the latest version of Google's Android, which has reached $200,000.
The company pays $100,000 for new vulnerabilities in Flash, while 0days in Word or Excel are valued at $40,000. Vulnerabilities in and Windows 10 cost $50,000.
