Microsoft is reportedly planning to retire all Lumia phones and even stop producing them altogether as soon as this year, and it looks like the company has just taken a major step in that direction.
Reports from the UK suggest that Microsoft is no longer offering replacement devices to those under warranty who experience a problem, largely because the company has already withdrawn stock from stores in the country.

Production of new Lumia models stopped about a month ago, according to insiders, and the company has stopped supplying stores with new devices, or devices from stock.
Microsoft is believed to be planning to discontinue the Lumia brand name in December, and focus more on the Surface Phone, a new high-end model from the company that is expected to debut in 2017.
There are currently no official reports, but recent publications suggest that the company plans to release the new high-end smartphone in 2017, or later this year.
As for the Lumia brand name being discontinued, it probably comes as no surprise. Rumors of Microsoft's plans to discontinue Lumia began circulating online shortly after the Lumia 650 was released. Since then, there have been reports from sources familiar with Microsoft's plans that the device would be the last model in the Lumia lineup, as Microsoft focuses more on the Surface Phone.
Microsoft, on the other hand, never confirmed the existence of the Surface Phone.
