Is Microsoft bringing back Lumia?

Many people believe that Lumia is dead. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that the company hasn't thought about what the future of Lumia could be.Lumia?

This was also revealed by an update that was expected to be released for the flagship Lumia 950.

The Lumia 960 is an upgrade to the Lumia 950, the company's mobile phone that ran on Windows 10 Mobile and was released in the fall of 2015.

The Lumia 960 looks a lot like its predecessor, with a few notable upgrades. The device is said to feature a triple-LED flash, a 20-megapixel PureView camera, dual front-facing speakers - meaning it will offer stereo sound - and a Snapdragon 820 processor.

At the time of the new phone's development, the Snapdragon 820 processor was the best in terms of laptops, so Microsoft wanted the Lumia 960 to compete with the most powerful Android devices. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 835 has already been released and is powering a number of new high-end smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy S8.

But since the Lumia 960 was discontinued before it was even released, the leaked information likely refers to a series of other updates.

Microsoft is rumored to be working on a revamp of its mobile platform with a new device being part of the plan, meaning that even though the Lumia 960 has been canceled, a new flagship is in the works.

The Lumia 960 may never have made it to store shelves, but it's proof that Microsoft was once more committed to its mobile platform than it is today. But it's never too late, after all, where there's smoke, there's fire..
