A new Windows phone suddenly appeared on the Mexican version of Microsoft's website, but it is not yet clear whether it is actually a product or just a mistake.
Even though at first glance everything suggests it is merely a typographical error and someone working at Microsoft typed 651 instead of 650, the specs shown on the same page appear to indicate that it is a new device.
For example, the Mexican website states that the Lumia 651 has a 5.2-inch screen, while the Lumia 650 comes with a 5-inch screen. Additionally, the front camera is 5-megapixel with flash, according to the same page, while the Lumia 650 comes with the standard camera.
Naturally, it is powered by Windows 10 and comes with support for features such as Cortana, but on the other hand it appears not to support Windows Hello, so it likely does not have an infrared camera and fingerprint sensor.
Recent reports have suggested that Microsoft could be working on a new Windows 10 Mobile device for 2017, so if the Lumia 651 isn't a mistake, there's a small chance that this new device could be it, but other than that, it's definitely just a variant of the Lumia 650.
The 2017 Windows Phone was supposed to be a model running Windows 10 Mobile and come with features similar to existing Lumia devices, with Microsoft trying to breathe life into its mobile platform until the arrival of the Surface Phone.
