Samsung has started sending out invites for its upcoming Unpacked event, where it usually unveils new devices. And while it doesn't explicitly say it will be announcing the next Note series device, the graphics and timeline are pretty obvious.
In fact, the Korean company is not even keeping up the pretense and states on its website that the Note 7 will be released.
If you're wondering why it's a Note 7 and not a Note 6, the company has stated in the past that it plans to skip the number 6 simply to make up for the S difference (the Note 5 seemed like it was a version behind the S6, for example).
As for what we know about the phone so far, we probably know everything. Images of a prototype that leaked just yesterday confirm that the Note series will have curved edges, and that the fingerprint sensor is in the display.

The curved lines also indicate there will be no Edge Plus device this time.
The device is rumored to come with a 5.7-inch QHD display, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and IP68 water resistance. It will feature a MicroSD card slot and is likely to run the new Android 7.0 Nougat when it is released.
The event will take place in New York at 6 p.m. (Greece time). You can watch the livestream from the official Samsung.com page.
