Google is your gateway to everything on the World Wide Web…but also your portal to more and more of your personal data. So you can find out where your phone is, your photos, or your package deliveries. Below, we’ll look at some of the Google search terms recommends that you should know about.
You're probably wondering if only you can see these results. Of course, no one else can see when your next trip and hotel are. The results are personal and based on the personal data that the company collects as you use its services. So the more Google services you use, the more valid the results will be.
It's worth mentioning that the company collects EVERYTHING. From addresses from your Gmail, to useful shortcuts from the Google homepage or Chrome's address bar.
“I’ve lost my phone”
It's basically the easiest way to view Android Device Manager. If you search Google for "I've lost my phone," you'll see the last known location of all phones linked to your Google account. You can locate, ring, and lock your phone. It works for both Android and iOS devices.
“Contact -name”
Bring your contacts directly to Google's search page. The search engine connects to Google Contacts, so it can see and search your contacts. So typing the term Contact and adding the name of one of your friends or family members will bring up the data you're looking for. If there's more than one, you'll see a list of options. Clicking on any of the results will start an audio call via Hangouts.
“My deliveries”
Next, we will see how Google uses the information it collects from your Gmail account. Use “My deliveries” (or “packages” or “purchases”) to see your recent orders, which are of course hidden in your inbox. By clicking on any of the entries that appear on the screen, you will see the prices along with any available tracking information.
“My flights”
Gmail can also tell you about your travel plans. So if you search Google for “My flights,” you can see all your past and upcoming trips. Clicking on any entry in the list will show you flight numbers, times, and other basic details.
“My hotels”
The search term “My hotels” works just like flights. Google searches your inbox and will return all the hotel reservations you’ve made. Again, clicking on any entry in the list will show you more details.
“My shows”
Search for “My shows” and you’ll see all the upcoming shows, concerts, and other events that you may have confirmation for in your Gmail.
“My bills”
Searching for the term will show you every payment account that has come to your Gmail. However, Google does not provide you with any financial assistance.
“My events”
A quick way to search Google Calendar. If you use the service, you can also ask “when's my next appointment?” or “what am I doing next week?” to get personalized answers from Calendar. Click on an entry and you'll see dates and times, descriptions, and more.
“My Photos”
Google Photos will answer the question "my photos" and "my videos" provided you use the company's photo storage service.
