So Google created a new Doodle with a simple purple font and a rain animation.
The rain of course is also purple from the artist's hit Purple Rain.
In addition to the Google Doodle, the web version of Google Play Music is now purple today in honor of the prince. However, this small makeover is not visible on the mobile version.
