Starting today, you can pre-order the upcoming Turing phone, known as the first device made of liquid metal.
The phone comes in three color combinations: purple and gray (Beowulf), blue and red (Pharaoh), and red with white (Cardinal).
Like the iPhone, the Turing comes in three storage sizes: 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB, with respective prices at $610, $740, and $870.
The Turing phone is made entirely of Liquidmophium, an incredibly strong material that can handle the shock of a drop much better than other metals can.
Unlike the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the Touring phone doesn't bend, although it can break under high pressure.
They are also said to be extremely secure. Turing Robotic Industries CEO Chao told VB that the phone's encryption system is end-to-end and unhackable.
To clarify, there is no option to pre-order the device. Instead, you can reserve a device (not pre-pay) for purchase at a later date – which means you will be notified when Turing Robotic Industries is ready.
At present, we do not know when the Turning phones will be available.
