Proxyham Raspberry Pi: The founder of Rhino Security, Benjamin Caudill created a tool to help those who are concerned about protecting their private life and also criminals to connect to wireless networks (stolen or not) from a distance of four kilometers.
What is it used for? Of course, to prevent detection by the authorities.
The Proxyham Raspberry Pi hardware box is a complementary toolkit like Tor and can hide Web traffic.
Security researcher Caudill (caudillbenjamin) reported on Motherboard that the device should be placed near the WiFi source and will start transmitting on its signal at 900MHz.
Caudill will sell the device at cost, around $200. Users who want to build it themselves can check out schematics of the hardware and open source software when it is unveiled at Defcon in August.
The box will probably need to be upgraded with self-destruct features and sound detection to help the user locate his pursuers.
Supporters of data protection, dissenting politicians, and aspiring criminals will probably greatly appreciate this particular tool.
