Every month, independent IT security institute AV-Test publishes a list of the best antivirus software for the Android platform. Today, it released the results for the previous month.
The company evaluated 25 Android security apps, focusing on realistic test scenarios covering the areas of Protection, Usability, and the features of each app.
The interesting thing is that all the applications that took part in the tests performed quite well, as they were able to identify over 95% of the malware samples used.
The detection average was 99.5% and the number of false positives was very low.
According to the test results, security mobile apps such as: Antiy, Avira, Baidu, ESET, G Data and Kaspersky Lab's Internet Security reached 100% protection, and were at the top of the list of the best apps used on Android devices.
Each app was evaluated independently based on the three factors mentioned above.
For example, in the case of Antiy, it seemed that the performance does not affect the battery life. This application does not slow down the device during normal use, nor does it generate a lot of traffic.
