A really good news from a company that seems to care about the security of its users. Twitter has bought a small startup called Mitro, which focuses on password security.

According to an announcement published by Mitro on its website, the team will work for Twitter, and will focus on a variety of projects related to the user's geographic location (geo).
The company will not be integrated into Twitter, and will continue to develop its own products that allow people to share passwords to an account. There are some changes at the startup, the biggest of which is that starting today, Mitro will be open-source.
“Starting today, all Mitro products will be released under the GPL license on Github. We have worked hard to develop a secure, easy-to-use password manager for individuals and teams. We have made great progress, and we believe that the community can help us achieve even more. With that in mind, we are excited to have advice and assistance from the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), in transitioning Mitro to a sustainable, community-run project,” the announcement reads.
People can go take a look at the source code on Github and check the system for bugs or websites that don't work reliably, which they can then report to Mitro to help improve the project.
