What happened on the Asiana Airlines that caused the fatal accident at San Francisco International Airport on July 6, 2013?
Jack Suchocki, a former pilot with experience flying Boeing 727s, has created a video explaining what caused the accident. The blue plane shows how the pilot should have landed, and the white one shows what actually happened.
You can see the plane was descending the runway too quickly and when it tried to land it banked up the wrong way. This resulted in its tail hitting the runway and then it all started.
The Boeing 727 began to roll down the runway in a cloud of dust and smoke. There was no fire at impact, but passengers reported an explosion after landing.
Three Chinese students died in the crash.
