Apple's vice president of retail, Jerry McDougal, who played a key role in the company's growth over the past dozen years, has announced his retirement to spend more time with his family. Jerry McDougal was Ron Johnson's right-hand man and was considered a potential replacement when the latter left Apple.
According to a report by AllThingsD, McDougal's replacement is Jim Bean, VP of Finance, who has been with the company for the past 15 years and will retain the role of vice president. "The retail division has an incredibly strong network of leaders who will continue the great work they have done over the past decade, revolutionizing the retail industry with unique and innovative customer-centric services," an Apple spokesperson said.
